The tuxedo is, and will always be, the epitome of formalwear in the men’s fashion industry. The black tux is the gold standard at formal affairs, and the white tuxedo is the silver standard if there is such a thing. Most men have trouble wearing a white tux. They have memories of the high school prom and those memories are scary. Going to the prom in a white tux with a blue ruffled shirt and big blue bowtie, white suspenders, and funky white plastic shoes was a painful experience.     Renting a white tux was a chore and wearing one was even harder. The men who wore a white tux at that formal dance always had a hard time keeping the tux accessories on. The jacket and the tie came off halfway through the prom, and the white suspenders usually fell to the waist when “Shake A Tail Feather” turned them into dancing fools. It was up to the white tux pants and plastic shoes to put on a good show and rock. The white tux never got credit for its coolness in those days...
